I grabbed my messenger bag of my coffee table and headed to my truck. I swung open the door and flop. There went the bag on the passenger's seat. I got inside and started the old thing when my dad ran outside in his robe. "Jessie!!! wait!" He called, I really didn't want to talk to him but I put my foot on the brake and looked out the open window. "What?" I asked bitterly. "I know you are struggling with the move but I-" I didn't want to hear it "I am Dad, and you know what!?!" I said before he could go on "I don't even care." I took my foot off the brake on my other booted foot on the gas. I pulled into an empty parking spot and headed into the office. I knocked on the door. "Come in!" said a voice on the other side. "Hi, I'm Jessie McCrane." I stepped into the office. And looked at the principle. Her hair was up and in a bun. "I have been looking forward to meeting you." she said from behind the desk. "Yeah, well, we just moved." I smiled my signature smile. It was fake, but looked so real. "Just wanted to start off by welcoming up into the school." she slowly put her hands together. "Thanks." I said. "OH! Please have a seat!" she said and I sat down in a chair across from her desk. "10th grade... hard, huh?" she asked making a sour face. "Try moving from Hawaii to New Jersey." I said sweetly. "Sorry about that...." she sounded like she was about to end the sentence, but instead let it trail off. "Here are your classes." she smiled at me. I took the list and looked them over. "Better hurry to first period." she looked at her watch. And the bell rang. "See you soon." she waved me off, and I got up, before I left, I opened the door and looked back. "FYI, a sentence has a period." I turned and headed to class before she cold respond.
